SS Lieutenant-Colonel Adolf Eichmann (1906-1962) was chief of the Gestapo's Jewish Office during World War II. He was responsible for coordinating the schedules and logistics necessary to implement the Nazi Final Solution which resulted in the murder of six million Jews. Eichmann escaped after the end of the war. Fifteen years later, Israeli secret agents located Eichmann in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They abducted him and took him to Israel, where a jury found him guilty of crimes against humanity Eichmann was hanged on May 31, 1962.
